I begin this write up as an understanding how difficult it can be to have a person with disabilities to try and do as a goal or dream of a job or a profession or a Volunteer as the disability that you have might get into the way of it., In the 1970's my two favorite T.V shows where CHIPS and Emergancy Squad 51 as seen here
As my father knew how much I had liked Emergancy Squad 51 when he had traveled to US Naval Underwater Systems Center New London, CT he had visited there fire department when he went there for his other work in acoustics there but brought me back photos of the crew and a real fire helment
I had also enjoyed the old Police TV Show Call CHIPS and still can remember when Erik Estrada was in the hospital after trying to do a motor-cycle stunt for the show. I had written to NBC to send a letter to him.,
Closet thing I got to being a police officer was my short duty as a Military Police Officer with the New York Guard after the aftermath of 9/11 WTC After I got relived of State Active Duty I was no longer needed as a
Military Police Officer so I had left the New York Guard after a 3 year tour with them and had served to the best of my abilities. I went on to do my dutys with Emergancy Communications with Ham Radio Amateur Radio which within it's self was hard accomplishment to do as it took many years to get and now with it I'm apart of the KX1EOC group which one of my other blogs as base on. and have taken many different classes and courses to help aid in this new field of mine as a Volunteer. I had also dreams of being a bicycle mechanic as well since I had been into bikes and racing and touring since about 1984 etc. So my parents had spend big money sending me to bicycle mechanic's school as well., Went finsihed and try to work as one for a local sports center but then I was told I was to slow in building the bikes so I had failed as a bike mechanic and parents upset the money went to waist. So I went on to be my own boss an try modeling for art school since I was in good shape since being invloved in sports since I was a young kid in Miami in the early 1970's. But had problems with trying to do my IRS 1099's Taxes myself I seem to work better being my own boss and doing as much Volunteer work as I can do., I enjoy trying to help others where I can and to do the best I possibly can.,Which I might have also picked up since as a young boy enjoyed the show called MASH M*A*S*H 4077th. And of course the military part had come from my father as he was inlvoved with Communications for the Army and Navy 10 years of my life. and also when in High School the movie called Top Gun had people wanting to become fighter pilots that when in High School had joined USAF Civil Air Patrol. I must say I was lucky to be blessed with having sports in my background since I was a young boy in the 1970's and stayed with it. I could have turned to drugs and alcohol but decided not to go that way. I had my father to be thankful for getting me into sports as he was also a swimmer, cyclist and runner, As I had found it being equal with the rest of the Athletes disabilities or not. We all where the same. And with my own personal saying that people with disabilities can make a difference.
