Dear friends and family, As I continue to support the Red Cross as a VOLUNTEER I wanted to reach out and ask for your support. I have been helping our Ridgefield, Connecuicut & territory region 5 Connetitcut American Red Cross community as a Volunteer for about 1 year and we have helped many families impacted by home fires and other disasters. Every eight minutes, we meet a family that’s lost everything to a home fire, storm or other disaster. In Connecticut and Rhode Island we respond on average to two home fires each day.

In March my Red Cross Chapter hosted our first ever Install-A-Thon and exceeded our goal by installing more than 1,400 free smoke alarms in local homes! As we launched our multi-city install-a-thon campaign we also opened a shelter in Hartford providing services to more than 200 people, responded to fires in 10 towns, and prepared for a blizzard.
We're on a mission: to help 25,000 families for the third annual American Red Cross Giving Day on April 26. Please help me make a difference by donating
Thank you so much for your support!

#WA8UNS @WA8UNS #ridgefieldct #Ridgefield in #FairfieldCounty #CT  Thomas Q Kimball of Ridgefield, Connecticut wanted to share that he is a volunteer with Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR)

It’s great to have some time to be able to volunteer for Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) as I am able to work with the cats there. As It has been both beneficial to me as is to the cats.

I would have to say animals need as much love as us humans do as they want to feel loved as well.

As I have been very happy that I was able to adopt my dog Teddy from Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue - ROAR Teddy has been great and not sure where I would be without him my small family. Teddy brings so much happiness and joy to me and not sure where I would be without him. Would like to thank Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue - ROAR as Teddy has been great for me.

Teddy has a brother (cat) Amagio in which makes up the family. So both make up the small family and keeping me going. :)

It is also great to see Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) involvement and great work  with

With The Connecticut State Animal Response Team (CTSART) at The Watertown Fire Department in Watertown, Connecticut. A concise overview of animal sheltering as it works in a co-located shelter. Providing a hands-on demonstrations of shelter set-up and operations. Also providing animal behavior pearls valuable in understanding the safety and dynamics of a shelter environment.

Hanging out with a new friend during the Class :)

On May 13th 2016 a new Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX's video had shown up on Facebook. Showing the U.S. Army 43rd Veterinary Medical Detachment from Fort Hood who are at Disaster City for an exercise in animal decontamination, and thanks to the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team.

With ( Teddy and Amigo ) at home, Teddy was adopted from Teddy is a rescue from ROAR Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue (ROAR) out of Ridgefield Connecticut. Amigo was found at a construction site and I adopted from the person who found him. As I do not have kids of my own. So these pets are my kids. Life would not be the same without Amiago and Teddy.

And leaving with New York Guard with Honorable Discharge July 31 2003. I’m glad to have made these accomplishments in my training which has been continuous, as it’s always evolving in Emergency Management. I had left the Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary with a volunteer resignation in 2012 as one of my reasons was with all the years I had with them I became disappointed with never getting promoted from Second Lieutenant. Also in which could be discouraging to anyone both Civil Air Patrol Senior Member and or Civil Air Patrol Cadet Member. I personal believed that Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary National Headquarters can put something together that would ask the basic question to the Wing and Squadron why isn’t this senior member being promoted with his fellow peers just by looking at when the joined and time in grade and also there professional development progress etc. So I had watched other seniors get promoted through the ranks with less time in.

Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary Duty Position Communications Officer Assistant yes Assign Date 16 February 2011. As you can see I had for some reason have to repeat Level 1 all over again in 2009 Even though I first had all that back in 1993.

My father was in Signal Officer Basic Course, Ft Gordon June through August 1969 but came back to Ann Arbor, Michigan to see my birth July 4th 1969. Wish I could  see a class picture photo from the Signal Officer Basic Course, Ft Gordon June through August 1969

I did not know any of my father's work from 1969-1979.  And really didn't learn anything of it until mid to late 1980's.  But did find his old Vietnam Era OG-107 Uniforms in which I had found in box's and would wear the shirts when hiking.
