About
Gizmo, the world's tiniest K9 First Responder, invites you to share his adventures.

Biography
Gizmo was born on March 8, 2010. He found his now handler at one of the lowest points in her life. He proceeded to single pawed-ly lift her out of her darkness by showing her the healing power of sharing something positive and helping others. Through Gizmo, his handler works to promote the greater good in a world often overshadowed by horrifying headlines. There are still good people in this world, and good things are happening!

Gizmo is now 7 years old. He is a registered therapy dog and the world's tiniest K9 First Responder (www.k9fr.org). He is also hospice certified through VITAS Healthcare and is a reading assistance dog for Hartford Public Library. He is the first known Community Emergency Response Team Therapy K9.

Gizmo is humbled to serve as the State of CT Suicide Advisory Board's Official Mascot (www.peventsuicidect.org) and as the Official Therapy Dog of The Old State House and CT History Day. Additionally, he volunteers at hospitals, schools, nursing homes, fire departments, police stations, and more.

He is the Little Dog with the Big Heart. His motto is "Cuz we're frens!" and that is exactly why he does what he does.

Gizmo lives in CT with his mom (handler), his adopted sister Mini Cooper, a 15 year-old poodle/dachshund and the rest of his family.
